Time of the Signs | Border Crossing

I am delighted to be taking part, for the second time, in Leo Boyd’s latest iteration of his ‘Time of the Signs’ exhibition of artist-made and artist-modified street signs.

The show opens on 1 October, Late Night Art Belfast, at Vault Artist Studios Gallery on Bedford Street in Belfast.

I went a bid mad and designed about a dozen signs before I remembered that the show had a theme! i.e. borders. Leo also commissioned me to write about the group show, and you can read that piece on Leo Boyd’s website.

For Culture Night 2018, I have arranged all of this material on a wall near where the video is being screened. Big thanks to curator and fellow Vault member Sally O’Dowd, whose work also features in the show, and Marta Dyczkowska, another good friend and fellow Vault studio member.
